Scholarship Criteria
The League of Women Voters of Lower Cape Fear (LWVLCF) is offering a $1,000 scholarship to a community-oriented high school Senior graduating in June 2023. An eligible student must plan on continuing their education by attending college or vocational school. This scholarship is designed to provide tuition assistance to a student that is actively engaged in serving their community (school, house of worship, scouts, volunteer work, etc.). This award will be applicable to the upcoming Fall 2023 semester.
A Qualified Candidate Will…
For more information, please contact us at communications@lwvlcf.org. The deadline for applications is midnight on May 5, 2023. Applications may be submitted to communications@lwvlcf.org. and submissions after this deadline will not be considered. After your application is submitted, it will be reviewed by the LWVLCF Scholarship Committee, and the scholarship recipient will be notified in approximately three weeks following the deadline date. The scholarship will be awarded at the LWVLCF Annual Meeting on Saturday June 10th.

A Qualified Candidate Will…
- Be a graduating senior at a public high school in the Lower Cape Fear Region (Brunswick, New Hanover, or Pender County)
- Be willing to provide proof of commitment to a college or vocational school
