  • Community Voter Services Outreach Events
    Our members are showing up and helping to educate members of our community at multiple events in the months leading up to midterm elections. One such recent event was the NC Rice Festival, which took place on Saturday, March 7, 2026 at Brunswick Town/Fort Anderson State Historic Site in Winnabow, NC. As a non-partisan organization, our Voter Services efforts are focused on answering questions, sharing Vote411 (our nationwide digital voter guide), and directing people to resources to assist them in registering and obtaining identification that will be necessary at the polls.  MORE

  • Education Action Team: Please and Thank You 
    The Education Action Team is preparing to write thank you notes in May to recognize the contributions of all the teachers and staff at our partner school, Dorothy B. Johnson Pre-K. MORE
 
  • Environmental Action Team Advocacy on PFAS  
    The NC Environmental Management Commission (EMC) is seeking comments on proposed rules covering PFAS discharges. Over 3.5 million people in NC drink water with unsafe levels of PFAS. In 2024 NC DEQ proposed water quality standards limiting the amount of 8 PFAS chemicals that industries and wastewater treatment plants could dump into our rivers.   • The League of Women Voters of North Carolina is collecting signatures for a petition supporting North Carolina’s participation in the National Popular Vote Interstate Compact (NPVIC). MORE​​
